Welcome at bed & breakfast Le Creuset in the gorgeous gorges and valley of the Dordogne, in the beautiful lively village St. Martin la Méanne with swimming pool, greengrocers’, post office, bar and restaurant. Le Creuset is situated on the edge of the village and the woods.

Whilst renovating the old hotel we have opted to retain the old features and combine this with the comfort of today. When the evenings are a little fresh, we light the “cantou” (large Inglenook fireplace). In spring and autumn the antique wood stove in the kitchen is used for cooking and heating the water.

The Corrèze consists for 45% of woods. The unspoilt nature offers great possibilities for the hiker, cyclist and angler. We have several scenic routes at your disposal. At 12 km. distance there is a large recreational lake with clean swimming water, a café/restaurant and a watersports centre. A trip by canoe along the Dordogne leads you through pittoresque villages and towns. At 4 km. distance the impressive dam le Barrage du Chastang can be admired. In short, a perfect location to relax, or to undertake all types of activities. We shall be pleased to inform you.

By mutual agreement we serve a “table d’hôte” (evening meal) and can provide a picnic basket for the lunch. Where possible we use organic vegetables from our garden and regional products in season. We take your wishes into consideration.
